"Code Is Art, Art is Life, Life is Spirit."

Algorithmic Dream Electronica

I believe there’s magic waiting to happen at the intersection of mind, heart, and spirit.

Music is my vehicle to get there.

As a musician and artist of code, I rejoice in bridging the gaps between the rational and irrational: that fine line where, as humans, we find wholeness.

Programming gives the mind the superpower to manifest, the spirit drives intention and inspiration, and both polarities meet in this intangible realm of sounds.

Earth To Abigail isn’t me, it’s the creative space I live in.

I combine live coding with Sonic Pi with my voice and instrument of choice, usually the accordion.

The title track is one of the more magical tracks on the EP. It has this atmospheric, other-worldly sound that is completely entrancing. Listening through was like taking a tranquil trip into outer space. There’s an escape offered in each track of The Forest, making it a special listen.

Creatively uniting the immersive ambiance of electronic sound-design with a freshly meandering, diary-like vocal outpouring of intimate and revealing sentiments – Earth to Abigail’s project The Forest offers an aptly hypnotic, extended journey of deeply human exploration and soothing musicality.

The Forest opens with its title track, and it’s perhaps best described as a true soundscape. painting bold images in pure sonic form. It’s a cinematic blending of electronic and natural sounds in perfect harmony, merging effortlessly with Mynah’s warm, delicate voice as it joins the instrumentation. The track builds wonderfully, adding ethereal vocal harmonies, additional synths, and light percussion as it progresses.

An ambient-dance bliss to behold, Earth To Abigail’s heartfelt ambient hues of “The Forest” are stunningly beautiful. Radiant colors pop throughout. The usage of found sounds and field recordings help to establish a sense of place within the work. Delicate touches further add to the fragile sense of geography within the work. Every track plays off the last for there is a narrative that takes shape over the duration of the experience.
